Not quite sure i believe that tweet. They have only just got married unless she has had enough already. She says "real reason you left wigan?? Alcoholic?? Gambling addiction?? posted a picture of him smashed and #MESS. I know she does enjoy her rugby league maybe she will just miss free tickets haha.


Larne Patrick doesn't look likely to one reliable poster on the hudds board.

We seriously need some mature quality now but not quite sure who, must be a lot of money left over.

Gareth Carvell is likely to sign for yourselves.

You're still touting Lauaki around the rest of Super League trying to get rid of him so stories about him having health issues would appear to be wide of the mark.

not quite sure why we would he is a good squad player, unless we was trying to get more salary cap. Carvell wouldn't suite Wigan to one dimensional, Very destructive going forward but gets tired to quick and is a liability in the defensive line.

It does seem a very unusual thing for his wife to tweet. In my opinion when something is put out in the public domain by someone so close to the player the club need to take action, even if it is a joke/wind up.

If Powell does go, I think we need to really spread out net to bring in some quality. I'm not sure there are any realistic targets that would add much to our team in SL. Carvel as mentioned just does not do it for me, he seems to be in decline. Would prefer Scruton if we were looking at the bulls.

Halves and fullback are fine, and if Powell goes I still think we will be ok in the pack so it does not necessarily have to be a like for like replacement, quality though is important.

Finally on Powell himself I would be disappointed to see him go if he does go that is. I was looking forward to seeing what he could bring to us next year, think he could have some real Xfactor about him, using his size and offload. Bowen and Tomkins and our halves could have a field day running support for him.

I'm happy with the squad for next year regardless of what happens with Powell. Never rated Carvell. IMO he doesn't get through enough work and is lucky to have been playing for Warrington

Carvell was fearsome about 2010 but not anymore. He's on the wind down and isn't a player we need. He was out on his feet in the grand final although he had picked up a knock.

If I was looking at the Bulls I agree that Scruton would be worth a gamble. He's has no luck with injuries but he can be a pretty destructive player when he gets on the field. I also wouldn't be against Sidlow who I thought had a decent year last year and could be improved.

I would take adam sidlow in a heartbeat has so much potential and would be another local lad. Another i would look at is the tall 2nd row from widnes, more of a prop to me adam lawton? i think.

Lawton looked a beast of a player at points last year for Widnes. They owe us a player or ten as well!

Lawton looks a cracking prospect it will be interesting to see how he goes next year. Season 2 and 3 are usually the making or breaking of talented prospects.

In relation to Powell, hearing all kinds of car crash stories about his behaviour and personal life. I hasten to add this is all second hand information so may be a load of rubbish but it does all seem to add up.

I assume IF true the club will not go public until a deal us signed with another club, maybe back to Union in an attempt to get a fee.

I know Noble was always an admirer of his so maybe Salford could be an option.

As I said it could all be 2 + 2 = 5, but the rumours the "tweets" from his wife etc all do seem to add up. Total speculation though.
