Heard we (Widnes) have signed Rhodri Lloyd from Wigan, it will be announced shortly. No great loss for you guys I imagine but what have your impressions been of him?

good squad player. didn't look out of place at London or in WC, but needs to move to get a regular game. He's another Welsh RU convert and still very much learning his trade. The biggest problem he has at Wigan is where do you play him ? He needs a good solid run at a position, in a solid club and I am sure that he can develop into a good quality SL player.

I always thought London would snap him up as they are so short of players. the fact that Vikings are potentially about to sign him worries me. Who the heck is going to play for Broncos ?

Probably for the best all round, I can't see him getting a game for us next season. He was highly rated when he played for our academy but that didn't really seem to transfer to SL. Plenty time for him to develop though

It's on a season long loan according to todays League Express, something that could benefit both clubs.

I think so, Marsh is a very good player for us but he's had a fair share of injuries recently so we need the options with Phelps and Dean.

I think its clear to see that Lloyd will be a fantastic player in a couple of years time when his body fills out naturally. I think Wigan are going to be really patient with him.

He certainly has potential, but I think its a little optimistic to say that he will DEFINITELY become a star. We've seen too many youngsters flatter in first team cameos or in the U19s but fail to deliver in the big league. He could be the new Gary Connolly or he could be another Simon Haughton, Stef Marsh, Sean Gleeson, Jack Murphy, Shaun Ainscough or Karl Pryce.

I think he will be a skillful 2nd row i don't think he has the pace to be a back. I only say that because every time i have watched him he clearly has a rugby brain and thats only after a couple of years playing league.

I think if Sean Gleeson came through the Wigan Academy now he would still be here and i don't think Stef Marsh got enough time to grow up to super league standards, there were glimpses of the under 19 form for Widnes last season. never rated shaun ainscough or Karl Pryce

I hope it's just a year long loan for Lloyd I really rate him. He just needs game time.

i mean as in 2012-2014. he came through at a terrible time in my opinion.
