First things first pal, I have never claimed that Huddersfield produce better youngsters than Wigan or most other SL sides for that matter. Wigan will always be a bigger team than Hudds and I'm fine with that. To be honest I prefer supporting a smaller club, so no issues there.

As far as players you've released recently how about Liam Colbon at Hull KR? And back to Hudds you know you'd love to have Cudjoe and Lawrence...Crabtree too.

Mind you, you're probably right get rid of Mossop and J Tomkins too....total gash from what I've seen!

It has been a criticism levelled at Wigan in the past, also unfairly in my opinion and would like to see anyone argue that the differently will even half a knowledge of the facts, but the simple fact is this lad has been in and out of the first team for 5 years has had loan spells at other SL clubs and still not shown he is able to be a real front runner.

If you are happy with average players in your team cast off by other clubs then fair play, but I am sure while you will get good service from them and basing your club on that policy you will always fall short of a trophy because the big game quality is not there.

Liam Colbon Brilliant

No disrespect intended to the lad but he's hardly a world class player who's come back to bite us.

Colbon's a decent little player...IMO. Not saying he's world class, you've not got that many in your first team nevermind letting ones go. David Hodgson for example, when he left you wouldn't have thought much of it but he's turned into a very good winger who know doubt could have served you well during some difficult times.

Melling is another who has impressed me at times as has good ol' Bryn...gone a bit of the boil recently though.

Yes Colbon is one we really should have held on to!!! Its not like we have any quality Wingmen or young prospects coming through in that position!

Wigan get ruined by "educated fans" for buying all the best players in the glory years and pooling all the young talent, then when the cap is brought in to prevent this get panned by the same "educated fans" for not doing so.

At which point are you going to name some recent discards that have come back to bite us.

I'll ask you this question again on this thread, as you're clearly not going to answer it on the other one: what do you think about Wigan's Accelerate Squad? Or do you not have a clue about that either?

I can see it now a team containing Hargreeves at Prop (meaning Prescott/O'Carroll would have missed opportunities) and a backline of Robinson, Brown, Aspinwall, Goulding, Colburn etc and Melling would really put us in with a chance of a trophy!
