Undoubtedly, but at the same time he might have also turned a corner permanently. The one year extension might be the perfect length to make a proper judgement.

Farrell would be exempt from the salary cap in year one and then used as marquee player in year two. The publicity would be massive. I've said all along that I think it will happen.

Decisions regarding recruitment and retention were made earlier in the year.

I may have been sold by it but I think if he stayed he’d continue his good form. He looked like he loved scoring that try yesterday and enjoys being with the club. I think he’d repay us

I think keeping Mago would be less of a risk than bringing in someone else from the NRL with all of the risks with settling in etc.

I’m refusing to crack on Mago but he is testing me. I can’t help feel almost insulted by his form at the moment because where has this been? And it’s as clear as day to me why he is playing well. I can’t see the club keeping him on but if they do, I expect it would be just the extra year and that would keep him on his toes at least.
