I want Havard back, fit and available for selection and an option I'm not worried about in place of who etc. Its a worry I'd rather have than not, especially with how Suspensions and HIA's can happen out of the blue
First game back or not, I'd have him in over Nsemba. That's nothing against Nsemba, it's just he doesn't play big mins. Havard, if fit, can easily do those type of mins.
I love the thought that, at some point in the match, we could potentially have Havard, Dupree and Ellis (at 13) on the pitch together. Get a proper roll on for 10/15 mins and see what the backs can do.

I agree, unless one of our props form drops he comes in for Junior, making it to the GF without anymore injuries or suspensions in the pack is unlikely though.

Fully agree and the same goes for Isa. We got badly burnt last year going in to the play offs, with Faz and Cust injured and then French going down in the Leeds game and had we made the final, the likelihood is we'd have been battered because we would've been decimated (with Bateman and Isa also likely to be banned iirc). We just need as many options as possible going in to this last few games. If we can at least have the option of playing Havard and Isa going in to a play off game, that will give us those 2, Hampshire, Thornley, Cust and Shorrocks sitting outside what looks to be our first 17 currently (if no other issues crop up beforehand) and you can pretty much cover any injury or suspension to a decent level (obviously you'd struggle to replace Field, French, Smith or Faz regardless of who was available as back up).
He’s a very useful backup player but if he is wanting regular game time he needs to move on.
I think next year he will be first choice back up should one of Field/French pick up a knock or need a rest, if he is happy with that it’s a no brainer.
If Hampshire does leave at the end of the year, and Wakefield (i would prefer Cas tbh) get relegated i would love to see us go in for Dagger as a replacement. I have always rated him, full of effort, always seems to give it 100% and quite a skilful player. Very handy as a back up player aswell as he can play all over the backline.
If Hampshire, Thornley and Cust go, I do think we'll need a signing, just to offer that cover. Due to how versatile Keighran, Field and French are, it won't really matter which position any back signing played in. If you're looking around at available options there are a few that stand out. We would need to pay for Dagger I think but Deon Cross and Jack Walker are out of contract and Bayley Hodgson has been released by Newcastle Knights (maybe a bit young though to call him experienced cover). I'd be happy to just keep Hampshire but if he does go, one of those guys could do a job for us.

I will be honest i thought Dagger only signed for Wakefield until the end of the year, but just googled and he has signed for 2024 aswell.
Not sure on how these things work exactly, but would he not be released from his contract if Wakefield were to be relegated?
And i agree, i would also be happy to keep Hampshire. I thought he filled in pretty well in the few games he played.
If Wigan go anywhere near Jack Walker somebody in the recruitment team needs sacking. One of the worst players I've ever seen. Hull kr couldn't get rid quick enough. He's abysmal

Stop sitting on the fence Baz. You are going to give this forum a bad reputation.
By the way got to agree with you. He reminds me of Mathers.

Dagger been very good in the halves and at 1 for Wakefield. Offers pace and also a good kicking game don’t see him being happy not getting regular games though.
Whoever we bring in or retain needs to be happy with plsying second fiddle.
If Wakey go down I think he will be a key player in their campaign next year and happy with playing week in week out.
