With regards a “game changer” presumably this would have to be someone not off contract at the end of 2023. We’ve already paid one transfer fee so far and to be truly game changing it would have to be a top player not at the end of his career.

Just supposing Havard is fit for the GF if we are there. Which prop would you drop from those that have got us to the GF?
Bearing in mind it could be 3 months since he last played.

Blake is currently on £275k pa, so I would imagine that he would become a marquee signing. I think Saints would be better advised to make Welsby a marquee player.

Unless one of them is injured/suspended Havard doesn’t play especially if he hasn’t got a game under his belt, too big a risk with a hamstring injury

Agreed.

Havard doesn’t play if his first game back is the GF unless we have injuries.

He’s a very useful backup player but if he is wanting regular game time he needs to move on.

I think next year he will be first choice back up should one of Field/French pick up a knock or need a rest, if he is happy with that it’s a no brainer.
