I'd rather keep Brett Finch than go for Soward.
After the Wakefield game IL said in the SS Bar that they were starting negotiations with Finch on a new deal.
Let's hope it's successful and he stays at Wigan.

I have a feeling that Soward would be the replacement for Leuluai.

in a strange way i think he would improve us as a team if he is a replacement for tommy, he does come up with some x factor plays and usually he's kicking game is top draw. just have to get him motivated like wayne benett did and he does become a very good player.

just been having a read on a St George forum and their very split as to how good Soward actually is.

hopefully as a replacement for Tommy, would not want him over Finch. It would be a great stratergy if it was to play in the halves with Finch, we would probably lose finch in 2014 and then hand his shirt to one of the young halves to play with Soward and then promote from within again when Soward retires......all if true obviously.

One thing about Soward that is underrated in my opinion by fans is his strike running he has real pace to burn something we have potentially lacked with the current halves, although to a certain extent this is masked by the influence of Sam from the back.

He also seems to have a kicking game which Tommy doesn't have. All in all I'd say he's a better player than Tommy when he's in the mood.

Thats one aspect of his game the dragons fans are crying out for him to do more.

No doubt about that for me. A Finch + Soward halfback partnership would be the best in the League & with Sam at fullback...

However the reality is very different. I can't see Soward leaving the NRL. I'm sure he's pushing for Origin selection. Is he OOC? Chances are his management are just branding our name around ('English glamour club') to boost his pay packet.
