you would have a point if the expenditure was a necessity for the past few seasons but it hasn't its been more of a luxury to develop in wales, upgrade facilities at the training ground, develop park and hire additional back room staff. |

No mention of the amount spent in 2012 on transfer monies going out for Matty Smith. Blake Green and Scott Taylor.
2012 Wigan were League Leaders and the club made a profit.
2013 Wigan won the Challenge Cup, the Grand Final and were Champions.
Monies from those events will be included in the 2013 accounts which if they make a profit, will be four years running Wigan have won trophies and made a profit.
As for 2014, sales of season tickets are good thus far and the transfer monies from Sam Tomkins, Lee Mossop and Gareth Hock will appear in the accounts.
Altogether the Wigan club is very well run indeed both on and off the field.

Agree with this. Clubb looked great five years ago (I remember a length of the field interception try at the JJB - he obviously had pace) when making the England team but has played for a poor team since. Wane has spoken of his leadership potential and has obviously seen something that he likes in Clubb. Something that has eluded the rest of us. Thought he would really struggle to get a game at Wigan. I look forward to being proved wrong.

Now that we have lost Harrison Hanson and possibly Lauaki I'm sure the club will be looking for another forward as cover to the squad. Heard a strong rumour that they have made enquires about Elliot Whitehead at Catalans.
I don't know if he's not settled in France or is homesick but he would make a good signing, he's young with a lot of potential and has plenty Superleague experience.
Anyone know about this possibility?
