If they feel Widnes are in a bad place then I think going elsewhere would be for the best but it makes no sense that they have just sent Forber there if they feel that.

With Mike Danson increasing his connection with the club and the fact he would cost 0 in the cap in year 1 and 50% of his wage in year 2 I don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility.

It would certainly be a signal of intent from Danson a bit like when Barcelona have a change of stewardship and the incoming Chairman recruits a new Galactico to signal the start of the time at the club.

The problem is aside from it being a good thing off the field bringing more eyes on to the sport and a bit of a show of strength I think on the field he will do well to do okay yet we will likely have to pay him superstar wages. I’d personally go nowhere near him.

Best long kicking and goal kicking player in the league and a quality link play.

Would go very nicely as a 13 in my opinion.

The publicity would also be fantastic for the club and the code much more than a 5 minute novelty.

He is arguably one of if not the most recognised rugby player on the planet.

I don't disagree with any of that - it just feels too risky to me. If he was in his mid or even late 20s it might feel different but at 32 years old he has less time to adjust, more risk of injury and alongside the financial outlay - I dont think it's worth it.
