King for some reason doesn’t seem to get a break sometimes, there always seems to be a bit of a witch-hunt with him.
He makes a mistake it’s emphasised and when he plays well he’s on big money amongst other things. I think the only way that changes is if he becomes our player which looks increasingly unlikely.
Given the current announced recent signings I think we are building well and moving in the right direction.
We still need a few things though in my opinion at the very least.
1. An experienced quality prop.
2. To work out the Field French conundrum. As exciting as it is unless it is resolved it’s going to hold the potential of the team back.
For what it’s worth (which is very little) my solution as mad as it seems is allow Field to move on and sign a natural 6 with French at 1, as I think French is the superior fullback of the 2 and neither are halves and French is wasted on the wing.
3. I would have said secondrow but I think with Nsemba and maybe Chan we can look to other areas depending on what happens with King.
