Just been informed that Goulding has been told that he's not going to get much opportunity to break into the first team, and is on the verge of signing for Salford.

I would not be surprised if this was the case, just lacks that something special in my opinion to make it as a club with Trophy winning ambition, and to be fair i do not think there is anything he could do about it, his attitude seems spot on, as does his work ethic but he just lacks either that dynamic pace power or skill to set him apart from the crowd.

I dont think it would be a permanent move right now, but i dont see Goulding staying with us for years to come.

I'd have to agree jon, while a decent player he lacks that Va Va Voom to take himself and the club he plays for to that next level.

Let's let the lad go so he can progress is own career and instead concentrate are efforts on somebody who will make it to the very top, it may be harsh on the lad and any like him, but if we want to be successful it has to be done.

We'll have to remind you of that in years to come. Very underrated player IMO, would loan him out for the season before getting rid.

Of course I do! I've been a fan of the lad for a while now, the problem with you lot has been that you're too quick to pull the trigger on young talent and then somewhere down the line it comes back to bite you on the pie and peas.

Mind you, you're probably right get rid of Mossop and J Tomkins too....total gash from what I've seen!

Goulding has been playing first team rugby for 5 years at Wigan. Is that not chance enough? We've got 2 better centres than him in the team and 2 lads coming through the reserves with the potential to be better. It would be much fairer on the lad if he went to another club. A little like Phil Neville at United/Everton.

All this "You've been too quick to pull the trigger"?? Name me some recent players who's "come back to bite us".
