I don’t mind players being cocky as long as they can back it up.
I’m quietly confident that Forber will break into the first team this or next season. Whether that’s with us or someone else time will tell.

Feels a very strange position to be in, having everyone fit and wanting that to stay the same but also wanting to see guys like Hill and Nsemba get a shot. You don’t even have the Easter Monday game now to throw a few in but that’s for the best and we can’t complain.

Mentioned by NK in another thread but I think Tom Davies should be a target.

I know people don’t like us always going after former players but this seems like a no brainer.

I must admit I’ve not followed him too closely but he seems to have developed into a more rounded player.

The mismanagement of the quota shows that if you can get a good English club trained player it’s worth it.

Him and Marshall are a great balance as a wing pairing (similar to Manfredi and Burgess) one metre eater who loves a tough carry, the other one with electric pace who can finish.

Not sure if he he left Wigan on bad terms or if he’s loving France but I hope we at least have a call.

Did Peet coach him in the juniors ?

I called for him to be a target but I don’t actually think he’s anymore rounded. I actually think he’s limited to a degree and always will be. He’s not really got natural rugby league skills in terms of his handling but he’s a money ball signing. If you can get him for reasonable money, you know exactly what you get. He is possibly the fittest player in the league, he will carry for you all day and if you have him and King in a back 5, you know you’re not going to have issues clearing your line. I think that brings a nice balance when you have X factor like Field and French.

I said we should go for him and Lino for Miski and Cust and you could then go multiple ways, with a 1,2,6 and 7 of French, Davies, Field and Smith or Field, French, Lino and Smith or French, Davies, Field and Lino. It keeps everyone on their toes, covers a lot of bases and you even have the option of Lino going in at 9. You also have 2 goal kickers.

We really do not need Lino, he’s very average and also inconsistent.

I think we need a “strike” half.

We currently have 2 halves and neither has a running game.

Smith is a string organiser let him do that, partner him with a running half and I think we go much better. We may well have the answer in out team with Field.

Kris Radlinski and co really need to nail the 2024 recruitment after a few years of mixed results. KPP and Bateman already gone. We have the option of five overseas quota spots coming free if we choose - all of Miski, Mago, Ellis, Cust and Isa off contract (Ellis would probably be the one I'd want to keep). Plus decisions to make with Singleton and Cooper.

I like Lino, always have.

Rather go for Brody Croft, now there is an half back that would improve us and Harry Smiths game.

Lino is a realistic target though.
