In principle yeah it is.
Sadly all it probably means is, if he does well, he'll replace O'Neill in the 17. I get that's how these things work, but that would be mega unfair on O'Neill who's never let us down when he's played.
It's only good if positive performances transition into putting real pressure on Powell. That just doesn't seem likely, as Powell seems to have become a player who won't ever get dropped.

I agree.
He will get valuable game time to transition between the levels he has experienced already and SL level.
Will be a big test for him in a struggling team where he will have some major responsibilities.
I called for this a few weeks ago with my Trinity hat on, it’s a good fit for him and his development.

Will he actually get first team game time Jon?
I assume the current 9 or the cover is out injured?

I know Liam Hood misses at least this weeks game with concussion, so you’d think he’ll get some minutes.
He best enjoy the last few days having skin on his knees!

Correct, he will get game time as impact off the bench. Bowes is the only 9 in the squad and he is a baby too so couldn’t be expected to run for the full 80.
Jordan Crowther been getting a run too at 9 but he’s more a 13 who fills in there.
In regard the pitch it really has become a joke.
Clubs just trying to get a bit of an advantage/disruption.
It’s not perfect but it’s certainly not as bad as both Hudds and now Hull KR are making out and now we are experiencing warmer weather it will start to grow and any of the patchy areas will be covered.

I can’t understand why there needs to be an inspection each week. If it was good enough a few weeks back, it surely can’t be any worse now? Just makes things difficult for people to plan.
Fingers crossed for Forber then. It’s not easy going in to a struggling side but it’s a great chance to put his hand up for a chance here.

No better way of learning. I think he will go well, he has a little bit of cockiness about him which makes him a better player.

Agree 100%
I don’t mind players being cocky as long as they can back it up.
I’m quietly confident that Forber will break into the first team this or next season. Whether that’s with us or someone else time will tell.
