I'd not be upset should KPP leave early, he's very bit and miss.

It makes the Nicholson loss a bitter pill to swallow when you add the known losses at the time of Bateman and KPP.

So we are light in the back row.

Props, we seem to have loads of them, with them all being 7 out of 10 standard, we don't have any 9 or 10.

Hooker, we have Powell who despite his great attitude and work rate, makes us predictable and slow at times.

With the Bateman and potentially KPP money spare, we definitely have to be on the look out to improve certain positions.

Obviously can’t see it happening but I suppose if Leeming doesn’t go to the NRL then there are ways of making it work.

Move Powell to a position he’s played about 15 minutes in his whole career?

One thing Wigan fans can mostly agree on is we sometimes lack a bit of firepower in the forwards. Moving a Hooker to 13 isn’t going to improve that and will result in him getting crucified even more than Smithies is.

Sorry to say it but Powell to 13 is an absolutely ridiculous idea.

Why is it absolutely ridiculous? For example, Salford last week played Atkin at 13 as an extra pivot and it worked really well for them. And they’re not blessed with a massive pack?

Hull kr have used two hookers really effectively too with litten and parcell on the field at the same time for parts of the game?

I’m not saying it’s the answer permanently, but other teams have used that tactic really effectively in games…

After today's showing, I'm pretty confident that JWH has some miles left in him. I wish he was playing for us on Good Friday.

I thought the signing would be too much of a risk but after watching that (and our powder puff efforts so far) I’ll need to rethink! Absolutely outstanding.

He's just at a different level to anything we've seen at prop, since perhaps Faz's last season with us.

I get our recruitment approach of looking at guys with an upside etc, but sometimes you just need that little bit of proven quality to help unlock the potential in your side. In the same way Coote and Naiqama (I understand they were younger than JWH) helped Saints - JWH will help Havard, Byrne & Smithies etc.

I’ve seen a few rumours of Leeming going to the Cowboys, a lot writing him off with regards to making an impact in the NRL but like at what Josh Hodgson has done over there.

Incredible player. Jessie Bromwich was equally as good for the dolphins in the early game. Did a massive stint in the second half to get them home.
