Just watching an interview with Peet on The Sportsman Youtube channel (the season preview show for anybody interested) and he mentions that Junior is bigger this year than last.



Apparently he is 20kg heavier than he was this time last year, that's 3 stone

He was already beasting everybody last year, and he still looks super fit in the pre season stuff so it seems to all be healthy weight, he is going to be an animal again this season if that is correct!

Was strange after the launch yesterday we was saying look at the size of JNR he made the other players look like little lads. When I watched the Sportsman interview with Matt it made me chuckle ….. just wait until he fills out!

I certainly wouldnt want him running at me!

i'd personally find 20kg / 3 stone a lot to put on in 3-4 months, so think that is probably exaggerated, and you'd have fans of other clubs claiming he's been ont steroids



there's no doubt he could bulk up / fill out and put on some weight, but i personally dont believe 20kg

He's saying 12 months isn't he - as in he's 20kg heavier than this time last year.

to be fair i havent watched the video. i'd assumed it was off season as thats when the majority of that work is done, with an emphasis on maintaining during the season

He isn't 20kg heavier, he could be but the club has a strict policy when it comes to maintaining your weight. Junior is about 17st 7lbs.

Is Matty Peet lying then?

Last pre-season I think he put 10kg on and I read it as he’s matched that.

"he's almost 20 kilos heavier than he was this time last year, which is amazing. That's partly through training, but partly just his maturation as an athlete and as a bloke"



I wouldn't say he has put 20kg's on in 1 pre season, it is from this time last year so he probably put some muscle on playing against full grown men every week, natural growth as he is still young and then whatever he has put on through conditioning in this pre season. I imagine it is a combination of all 3.



Still scary (in a good way) that he is that much more of a bulk than he was at the beginning of last year and when he first broke through in 2023. I don't see what Peet would gain by lying or bending the truth about it though, he has no need to lie about Nsemba's size it already speaks for itself!

Probably joking. He could put weight on no problem but the club have given him an optimum weight that he needs to maintain. He was 17st 7lbs last season, do you think that he looks 20st 9lbs?
