By the way does anyone know if it is true that Eddy Pettybourne was in the Samoa train on squad but didn't make the cut? If true, I'm not sure what that says about him?

I believe Pettybourne has been injured for a while so maybe that's the reason.

Hope you're right. Firstly it would have been good to see him in the world cup and secondly if he isn't good enough to get in the squad...

He chose NZ over Aus, didn't play for NZ so then chose Samoa. He's not made the Samoan squad so he's decided to play for America. ...or maybe England!!! Personally I couldn't care less about International RL aside from GB/England v Australia or NZ. It's probably a good idea to get guys like him filling up the squads of the smaller nations to make it more competetive.

Apparently he was in the NZ squad in 2009 without playing then he played one game for Samoa this summer, but didn't make their squad. The theory about him being injured probably doesn't stand up now that he's going to play for the USA. Mind you Puletua didn't get in the Samoa squad so maybe they've got some good forwards.

Has anyone seen him play?

Pettybourne will go well for us, he will give us that bit of impact we sometimes lack off the bench.

Not wishing to slate him but Wests fans are glad to see the back of him. Hopefully the change of clubs will be just what he needs to pick things up

To be fair, we heard the same about Carmont.

And either the Newcastle (?) fans didn't know what they were talking about, or it took a different coach to get a lot more out of him, or maybe both (which the one I suspect). My advice, let's wait and see.
