It's a tricky one really. We've got 2 excellent wing prospects in the under 19s and maybe, like the Hampshire/Willaims situation, we don't want a long term player blocking their path. My priority would be a good quality left centre. I have no idea where we'd get one from though.

Location is the only factor we surely can't compete with. However, since Tom was keen on a move to Aus, maybe being close to home wasn't/isn't a massive factor.

No offense to the young lads but they're prospects, Briscoe is a tried and tested proven quality winger in the here and now. We have too many prospects and developments and players with question marks over then, time we signed in quality in their prime, Briscoe is a perfect example of this.

Briscoe is one of the top wingers in SL but we've got his equal on our right. Left wing is an unknown quantity but from what I've seen of Burgess and Manfredi I'd be happy to give them a go. I'd throw our money at a left centre to look after our new young winger.

That being said, if we signed Briscoe I'd be a happy bunny.

I think you're underestimating Joe Burgess, he looks more than ready for Super League to me. What's the point in having an academy if you produce a very talented player, a player in his position leaves, and you don't use him? How daft would we look if we put all that work into Burgess only for another club to reap the benefit when he's finally ready? Don't get me wrong I'd love us to have got Briscoe but I'm glad we're giving Bugess a go

that's the point of having one of if not the best academy, you produce the talent to be brought on and into the team. If we had gone out a bought a top class winger on a 2-3 year contract in 2010/2011 what would have happened to Josh, would he even be at the club now.

I would push the boat out to sign Briscoe personally. How often does a top quality NRL standard english winger become available. The guy would score a bag full in our team, our wingers have scored tries for fun since early 2010.

Briscoe would be sensational in our team.

We have some money available so I would like to see a new left wing/centre partnership. It would change the whole shape of our squad in my opinion.

I would be worried if Briscoe replaced BJB at Leeds, their backline would be frightening.
