To be fair we have lost bigger more important players than Lockers and carried on, if he wants to go let him, RL is a short career, we have players who can replace him, i'd like to see Farrel given the position if Lockers left, in the past we would have been knackered but at the moment we are blessed with players that could fill the position

To lose Finch, Leuluai, Carmont & O'Loughlin in the same year would completely devastate us.

This rumour will hopefully be nothing more then that and we can get Lockers tied up to a new deal asap. It's funny that the changes and success Maguire brought about could now work against us if he decides he can get a few of our players in to Souths as and when there contracts run out.

Theres some interesting times ahead for us thats for sure. We certainly need to be on the ball with our signings this year. The club needs to find out who's staying and who's going now and make their moves accordingly.

I agree re Maguire but it makes a difference that SL players are now in demand down under rather than the other way round.

I would be sad to see Locky go but, if he has the ambition to play in the NRL (rather than yawnion) then good luck to him

Loyalty only gets you so far these days........

Agreed, but the loss of so much experience in one go is a potential disaster. It's like losing the spine of the team. Next year's signings are going to pose a real challenge for IL and co. They have to recruit well.

The quality will need to be on another planet in comparison to us signing guys like Dudson, Gelling, Flower and Lauaki for sure. The last 2 of those have been suprisingly good but all 4 have been signed with an element of risk and if we do need to replace 4 guys like Leuluai, Finch, Carmont and Lockers we simply can't take chances with replacements.

Ian Lenagan will have to look 'top end' if he wants us to compete and players like Ellis, Dureau, Reed etc etc would be the sort of signings the fans would demand.

Hopefully in reality we'll just be looking at replacing Leuluai and probably Carmont.
