In other news; Ratchford dropped today by Warrington. We know he has a good relationship already with the club, may well be a goer that one.

Signing Ratchford would be a big no from me. A few years ago, absolutely. Has been a very good player but he’s 33 now.

The reality is we don’t need to replace him.

Just because cap space is available we don’t have to fill it.

We have no quota spots so can’t look at an overseas player.

The reality is very few like for like players improve us.

Unless Wardle, Newman, Percival, or Farnworth are available, which they aren’t, save the money.

Would take Watkins as a none quota Hardaker replacement…looked decent today to say he’s been out injured for so long!

I rate Halsall and certainly think he’s a decent prospect but if bibby and thornley are keeping him out then Peet must not think he’s ready for a run in the team. (Unless he’s injured?)

I think it's a bit early in the season to assume that. There's a lot of rugby to be played.
