….. on the NRL - I see that Michael Maguire has dropped Oliver Gildart (and two others) for the next game after the worst Tigers start to a season since the Balmain/Wests merger.

Not surprised - he's been ripped to shreds in defence and just doesn't have the physicality to impose himself in attack.

The worrying thing from his POV is that he supposedly added a bit of bulk over preseason.

From our POV, hopefully it's Wire. I like the lad but can't help but feel that, like the rest of his 'group', they can go onto autopilot & coast. If he goes to Wire he'll drop into their culture and won't achieve much. They'll probably also let a hungry and passionate lad go to fit him in too.

I'm also still not writing Leeds off. If they bring in a top NRL assistant, or maybe Madge then that will change the whole outlook of that club. Gildart could thrive there.

Would hate to see Madge at Leeds. Nothing particularly against them, just that I always want to think of him as Wigan. Gildart they can have.

I was one who predicted Leeds would go well this season (despite Agar!). They've been poor lately, but they have some good young players, and I'm sure with a new coach they could do much better.

Who would have predicted that? Him being steamrolled in defence in the NRL. Not gloating about it but it was bloody obvious what was going to happen and pretty much everyone on here predicted it. I don't want him back here. Hopefully goes and plays with his mate George at Wire and we go for McDonald

I'd much prefer Joey Leilua to Mcdonald if we're going to look to the Championship
