I agree but realistically how long as a club do we wait? I’m all for supporting our players welfare wise, give them everything we can but there has to be a line where we assess what’s right for the club AND French. Let’s be fair here, if I was in his boat there’s no way I’d be coming back. Even for months after the bereavement and I think it would be incredibly sad to force that too. Equally were left with our star FB not playing and it will have an effect on the team as a whole. There may well come a time where we sit down with French and iron out a mutually agreed release so he can be with his Mother and not have the pressure of coming back looming over him. That can’t be good to bear for him.
I don’t want French to go. So don’t get me wrong here, but I just wonder if it’s creeping towards a conversation we all in the back of our minds knew would be coming.
