Exactly ! The wrong tactics are applied for the team we have built, we have a very talented player in Smith, if he has runners around him, we seem to just drive and give the ball width, no fancy plays or even dummy runners. The backs are given no time with the ball as everyone seems to be flat

I have said this before on here and agree completely

However his defence for me lets him down too much :(

In another post you say Smith's not up to the job, now you agree he's talented. Make your mind up FFS

Doesnt matter but the fans are voting with their feet already, 12,000 last night will surely be a shock to IL. Lose a few more with that kind of effort and his hand will be forced. I think the rumours of Radders being welcomed back to the club in some capacity is a good move but Tony Smith was also at the game last night. 2 plus 2 might = 5 on that one but its along way to travel to watch a game of rugby im asuming hes living in Yorkshire.

Not heard this one....would be a fantastic move IMO...why not employ him as a defencive coach as they have in union, working alongside the new coach, whoever he may be when they come in. If I was leneghan I would be trying to bring in as many ex wiganers on the coaching board as I could....people who dont believe in losing, and have the culture of success at all costs.

Imagine having edwards/ hanley as head coach with ex players like farrell and radlinski as assistants....we'd be unstopable

Its a great idea but it doesnt always work out like that, 'the old boys act' is a dangerous game with the likes of Hanley, Betts, Edwards and Farrell all having egos that might not mix. Edwards and Farrell ive heard have never got along.

Personally id love to see Noble replaced with Tony Smith and Vievers replaced with Radders.

He isn't up to it but give him runners and he is a very talented player

Having talent doesn't mean your automatically good enough its how you use your talent and if it fits in

Unfortunately with Smith he doesn't use his talent well and it doesn't fit in

Kirk is right, Tim often shows small touches of clas which i believe that he could produce more often, If he had forwards willing to do some extra , useful work. It is easy to see that he is trying to lead us around the park at times but just cannot get it to work. He is suspect in defence but that is something he can work on, his passes are awesome when he gets the chance.

Shaun Wane would be a great appointment till the end of the season - he's a wigan lad who knows the younger players , has proved him self at reserve level - and it gives IL 6 months to look for a replacement if he doesnt do well. If he does well give him the job - Could be similar to the run we had under mike greg after raper was sacked.

Think that could be the way forward myself, no decent coaches available at the moment & IL won't break the bank to bring someone in who's under contract.

Out of interest does anyone know which coaches are out of contract at the end of the year?

Noble's very rigid and prescriptive style of play just isn't appropriate for current SL or Wigan. The way he plays the halfs on each side of the field does my head in. This leads to a distinct lack of linking half back play consequently no links with the centre and without any decent centre play the wingers have no chance.

We are all crying out for the youngsters to be given their chance and for some Wigan passion and so the logical choice for me would be Shaun Wane. THis would also avoid the instability that bringing in someone completely new would bring.
