I agree with all your posts on it. I don’t know what the family issue is and to be honest it isn’t my business to know but I do wonder whether it’s even worth it for him to come back if it’s that serious, it’s only going to get worse being a day away from getting home and moving into a selfish perspective does us no good either having a player who’s head, understandably may well be elsewhere.

We need the full contingent back on Day 1 of pre season. He had a lengthy club sanctioned break at home last season and as someone has already said, that might have contributed to his injury. We can’t take that risk again.

You have to admit that it's pretty poor that he is still in Australia some 6-8 weeks before pre-season starts.

Heard Hardaker is gone - club currently talking to French. 50/50 whether he'll return.

If that’s the case with Hardaker so be it,perhaps the club will think twice about taking on players with such baggage in the future,as for French yes he can be special but the nettle has to be grasped the sooner the better I fully understand if family issues are preventing him from coming back then that’s fine part way and wish him well but what simple can’t be looked to happen is what transpired last season when he came simply unprepared and got injured in double quick time.

As I say time for the nettle to be grasped it’s clear the club aren’t happy with his rehab and if that’s the case time to get him back over here and give our crack medical team to get him right they simply can’t allow the same thing to happen in a salary capped sport.

As I keep saying the nettle has to be grasped and if he leaves then so be it the club can move on but this situation,if they’re not happy with his rehab surely can’t be allowed to,carry on.

If Hardaker is gone where is it likely he will end up? Is it possible he’s been allowed to talk to Hull fc?

French going would be a blow and it would be a big responsibility on Field to replace him.

Field at the moment was a signing that on the face of it made no sense but could no be very valuable.

Hardaker can go, we do though need to have been proactive not reactive in how we replace them.

Hardaker and French going would free up a lot of salary cap and also an overseas quota spot.

If we cannot bring in real quality in the halves and centre then don’t bring anyone in at all, and we as fans have to accept 2022 as a real year of transition whilst expecting a huge 2023.
