Is he going to be travelling at rush hour?

Pretty sure I once heard that training midweek tends to start around 7.30 in the morning.

So he sets off from Calder country at 6.30. That's not rush hour.

It's an early start, granted. But presumably he'll get an early finish to compensate.

I used to start at 5.30am, and wasn't earning even a 10th of what Hardaker's on.

The whole thing is bollox. Nobby did it. Kelvin Skerrett did it. Ellery did it. Gary Stephens did it. Maurice Bamford did it ...

Stop giving Zak credit. He's a typical millennial.

Google maps gives it as 1 hour 7 minutes as of now and that will be with zero traffic, seeing as it’s nearly 11pm at night.

Nobody can claim they can’t play for Wigan due to the commute of an hour and a half and then say they’d like to move to a club with a commute of over an hour. If one is a drag for the lad, then so is the other. He is making excuses by the sounds of things.

I’m bored of splitting hairs over the length of this commute. I’m getting told it’s 45 mins, an hour, just over an hour and it’s compares to the hour and twenty minutes or up to two hours getting to Wigan. Well that’s unfortunate for him but he choose to move. It’s pathetic really and he just seems to be hiding behind that excuse. I’ve worked in Manchester for years and that can be a pain but there you go, we all need a wage. I used to work pretty much in the centre of Wigan and would get the bus home to Platt Waz five nights a week. That could take 45 minutes some nights with the traffic. Life is unfair sometimes, I had to sit in traffic and had to go back to Platt Bridge. A real double whammy but I got on with it.

Right now from Ponte it’s 1hr 35 to DW Stadium and only 59 mins to Hull’s. 35 mins is a pretty big difference.

I imagine Wigan would let him go if they could find a replacement, which should be a right centre IMO. The lack of quota spots will make it tricky - I wonder what the situation is with Willie Isa. Not sure with our cap and quota the way it is that it's sensible to keep him on (particularly with all the 2nd rowers at the club).

it wouldnt surprise me if he stays on and plays centre all year
