All depends on how likely Miski being a regular starter is I guess. There looks to be one spot open at the minute, with French, Bibby, Hardaker and Marshall likely to be in the starting backline. That lost spot at the minute would look to be between Thornley (with Bibby going to the wing), Miski, Halsall, Hanley and possibly Hankinson.

Pontyfract to Wigan is pretty similar to the commute I have on a daily basis. I live down on the South coast and see thousands of people who have a 90 minute each way plus tube to wherever their office is in London daily commute. I have little sympathy in that respect.

As for GW, how do we know Wire didn’t pay a fee but requested it was kept confidential?

I’ve got no doubt there are a huge number of hinges that go on within the club and sport that mere fans are unaware of.

To be honest the only signing I’m interested in at the moment is the new coaching team.

I agree with that, although I don’t think any outside of French and maybe Zak and Marshall should be nailed on. Field will also be another option at full back if French gets injured.

If it’s a clean slate then I agree. I thought the decision to leave Halsall out of the play off game was a poor one, after he’d looked so comfortable in the games beforehand and he’s one outsider I could see making a real case for inclusion. I’ve said before he came in I’d never been hugely impressed in the academy but maybe that was just because he has a very laid back style. He just doesn’t look phased and that quality really helped him.

I’ll give them my full backing. I have no reason to write them off before they even start. It’s an amazing moment for Matty Peet. To have no professional playing background but take over as a head coach of a club like Wigan is an unbelievable achievement.

Same. It definitely isn’t who I’d have chosen but that’s no reason not to give them our full support. Ultimately they’ve done nothing to not warrant that support and a lot, including me, may be surprised by them.
