It's not official at all, but more or less confirms it.

He's asked when the new players will be joining them for pre-season. He says Tomkins won't be with them until after Christmas. The reporter then asks if he has just confirmed Tomkins' signing and he laughs and replies that he's "guessing he will be here just like you".

Your last sentence is about right.
No confirmation but do we really need any as this has been going on for so long?

The interesting bit for me now and has been for a while is, who will replace Sam?
Bowen seems the most likely at this stage.
Also who's going to take Pat's place? Seems as though Briscoe isn't coming here so it may be between Burgess and Manfredi.
One thing for sure though, Sam won't be here next year.

Don't panic Ti. You have an excellent youth recruitment policy in place with Powell already snared and young Matt Bowen on the way along with Eddie Petulengro. Adequate replacements for Bunnykins and Mossop don't you think? You should be very encouraged indeed.

I just really don't want Sam going to Union, I could handle an NRL switch, but losing him to the dark side would be terrible considering how our code has built him up over the past few years.

hed be wasted at union too many people on the pitch. Would be good to see how good he really is in the NRL.
