When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

20th: Wigan The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.
A friend has just telephoned. He wanted two £40 tickets in the West Stand. He tried Wigan but was told to contact the RFL.
When he telephoned the RFL the £40 West Stand tickets have all been sold, so he had to get the £30 ones.
Looking good.
What a crock of poop, why make it as difficult as possible to obtain tickets by having 2 seperate places to buy them from? Why couldnt Wigan rlfc have access to the remaining tickets from the RFL, theyve not even printed the damn things yet? This WILL put floating fans off from buying tickets, as they will say 'oh feck it, i cant be arsed running around after ticckets, ill watch it on the telly'.

The RFL dont you just love 'em
Because it's an RFL event. Wigan had to fight with them to get them to agree to let season ticket holders have the first chance to claim their own seats, that's why we were only given a limited time to claim our seats.
Don't forget, this is the first time in years that a game has been played at a clubs own home ground.

Never in the 11 games played in the UK since the concept was revived in 2000.

Where's the logic in that?
Want to buy tickets from Wigan, then you can. Not a Wigan fan? Then ring the RFL or go online.

Hows about if you want to sit in a particular seat.....Thats reet Ill make the trip down to the DW only to be told that seat is available but not from Wigan, yep you have to phone the RFL to sit there. Whichever way the cat jumps its a balls up, and will continue to be so. The blame lies firmly with the RFL for the over priced tickets, ticket allocation to Wigan, lack of marketing, lack of sponsership, hey I even blame them for the War on terror. This great game of ours survives inspite of the RFL not because of it.

Reet ive got mine plus another 9 others......but I do know of floating fans that want tickets, but who swear by using cash. How do they choose a seat that the RFL have allocated? My point is no tickets have been printed so why can both the RFL and Wigan work off the same seat database and sell tickets as and when people want them?

Probably a question that Leyther_Matt is better qualified to answer, but I'll hazard a guess that the RFL and Wigans e-ticketing systems are from a different software supplier and are not compatible.
Synchronising databases is not easy at the best of times let alone with different software packages.
Maybe this is part of the reason the RFL wanted complete control of the ticket sales.
