We're going to have to make do without a real ball playing second rower this season but surely that problem will be solved in 2011 when Hock comes back. I know we won't have him for the full season but he'll be available from mid July onwards and thats the real business end of things.

I don't think theres any real need for us to try and bring any second rowers in this season or for next because long term I think things will work out more then fine.

I mostly agree and I don't want to keep pushing something that may not be seen as a big problem but if as most hope and expect Hock is used to strengthen the front row, then we still lack the creative spark on the fringes I feel you need in a title winning team. Our current players can run good lines and should make plenty of breaks with good service (which is another issue that must improve) but they won't create something for others - they're simply not capable of that like an Eastwood, Lauititi or Puletua.

I only ever see Hock as a second rower tbh. I've said before I don't believe he's hardworking enough to play at prop and is better ustilised in shorter bursts running wide and playing as you say. I know some people think different though and believe he will come back as a prop.

Mossop is our big backrower that should be moving upto prop in the long run. He's big enough and works very hard. He gets through plenty of metres and tackles and i'd be suprised if his long term future isn't at prop.

For mine Hock must go to Prop on his return, we have a ball playing secondrow at the club in Tomkins, he just needs a little time to mature and learn to pick his passes.

Dont be picky. I meant some of the best young talent in GB. I don't think many would argue against it either.

Sorry if it's been on here before but it says at the back of the observer that Widnes and Leigh are keen to recruit Ben Davies on loan.

widnes would be the better chioce, a season dual registered would do him good, he looked very good in the friendly against Leigh
