If the Gleeson thing is true then it is a gamble but IMO at the moment when the ball goes out to the right to Tomkins there is nobody there with him. If Gleeson was out there it would give us at least one option going forward which is better than the zero options we currently have.
To swap Gleeson for Mathers would be ideal cos theres no doubt Gleeson is a far far better player than Mathers. Hopefully playing for his home town club will enable him to have a more professional approach off the field.
I wouldnt be happy if Goulding wen as wellt. Hes not had a fair go IMO. Do not get me wrong I am not convinced he is good enough but I do not think he has been given a proper chance. He has been made the scapegoat of a poor team performance on more than one occasion.
