Remember they use a different system for counting metres. I'd assume it's about two thirds of that... There would still be a lot of emotion at 170m though.
Im abit lost on where these stats being thrown around for Vaughan are coming from? Fox Sport have stats for every player and according to them in the Dragons vs warriors game he ran for 238m with 87 Post-contact metres. Good stats and better then we have currently for the most part, but nothing as crazy as is being said here.
Worth noting thats in the same fixture earlier in the season he ran for 133m with 56 post-contact metres Seems pretty standard to me, albeit in a tougher league for metre making.
Would be happy with the signing and think he is the type of player we should be after but lets have a bit of perspective.

The league live app. Regardless of its 262, 238, 150, 100 or whatever, we had a prop run for 14 metres from 6 carries on Sunday, so whatever may be official, it would more than do for us.
No way any Sl club pays anything like the £450,000 a year that Vaughan was getting at St George. A demotivated, expensive player with a poor disciplinary record - best to stay away from that one.

They certainly won’t and it will all depend if he gets any NRL interest or not. He’s taking one hell of a pay cut whatever happens you’d imagine.

We count metres from the gain line don't we? almost like an NFL system?

With Joe Bullock leaving for Warrington, they may also recruit a prop in addition to the NRL player they are close to securing - though reports elsewhere linking them with Leigh's Nathan Mason are thought to be off the mark.

I think we ought to stay clear of him. As good as his stats are, his off field antics are appalling. He’d be far more trouble than he is worth and we ought to dodge that bullet early.
I’d be targeting Dylan Napa to be honest. He’s in a bit of a rut and looks like he needs refreshing. It wasn’t so long ago he was a feared prop forward and if he could find that form again we’re on to a belter

Vaughn is the type of Prop we need he fits the bill perfectly in relation to age and experience however some of the figures he is being quoted as on have blown my mind.
At the right price he would be worth the risk, but he’s nowhere near the money he seems to be have been on at St George and I’m not shocked they have taken this opportunity to release him.
