I agree he would be a good fit but I would think he would be looking for a good last pay day and I don’t think we should have paid over the odds for him.

I guess it comes down to though who we do have lined up. The only rumour doing the round is Mason, however that’s not to say we haven’t secured other signing for 2021.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

We can only judge when everything is finalised but the signs aren’t good. I’m all for looking for bargains and Nathan Mason may surprise us but he seems another steady type, 25-30 tackles, 6 metres a carry, 50-60 metres a game etc. It’s not going to be enough to make the difference we need. I say all that but it won’t be enough under Lam. If Shaun Wane had enough control to make decisions about tactics, he’ll figure out a way of making enough ground as a team and limiting the oppositions ground sufficiently to compete.

Apparently so. You’d think we’d be aware he was possibly available though. Maybe we did have a go but there’s been no rumours. It’s tough to see where we could do better in the current climate.

Even with the slim pickings in the transfer market some clubs seem to be doing just fine whilst we show little prospect of producing a balanced side.

Mamo is another one of those players who is 'not quite good enough for the NRL', but a very useful pick-up at SL level, like, say, Jacob Miller.

Anthony Milford has been the subject of several bids from Super League.

You would have to think Leeds, Wire, Saints and us are the likely bidders.

I really hope we stay away. Brisbane are a mess, but he's got to take some responsibility for that as he's been absolutely awful. Also seems about as mentally tough as Williams is.

He's got Sandow/Austin written all over him.
