I think GW is a better half than Sezer, but, sadly, I can see why he didn't want to come back to Wigan (aside from money, not saying that wasn't a factor).

Matt Lodge released immediately by Brisbane Broncos as an opportunity has presented itself that suits him! Solid, fit prop… we can but hope!

We wish. I was reading last week he had plenty of interest over there. It’s getting so difficult to tempt players over here, especially good ones. It’s why you need to be on the ball with domestic recruitment and clearly we aren’t. That Chris Hill lad was tough to handle last night.

Yep, it seems NZ Warriors will be Lodge’s next club and yep, Hill went ok didn’t he? We really struggled to handle Copper, I thought he was excellent last night.

Was looking at him as a potential recruit for next year a while back.

He’s on the decline in a big way but a change of scenery may do him some good. I don’t think it could happen though given he has an assault conviction after knocking someone about whilst under the influence when he was in America in camp/on holiday so a visa I think would be a problem.

It doesn’t seem like we’re in for Hill and I’m staggered tbh. An absolutely perfect fit in many ways. We need go forward, we need experience around the young lads and it doesn’t hurt that it’s his hometown club.

All pretty depressing at the moment but we can only hope things turn both on and off the field.

I’m told a 2 year deal is a done deal for him at Huddersfield.

I agree he would be a good fit but I would think he would be looking for a good last pay day and I don’t think we should have paid over the odds for him.

I guess it comes down to though who we do have lined up. The only rumour doing the round is Mason, however that’s not to say we haven’t secured other signing for 2021.

Guess we will have to wait and see.
