If you type his name into Google and go to the videos section, there's plenty of highlight reels of the guy.



Looking at them, there's a definite "project signing" / potential upside there. Who knows if we'll get the best out of him, but I'm certainly not against this one.

If he is an out and out left sided player, isn't that the same side as Marshall?

He's just running fast and outmuscling players. He isn't going to suddenly lose that ability by standing on the other side of the pitch. Yes there are finer skills like which hand you are grounding the ball with and fending with but I'm sure he can get used to that unless we have reason to believe he couldn't. It's not like he's going to be kicking, or even having to pass that much.

His centre looks handy in those clips against Sheffield. It might be worth looking at him as well.

The more I think about the Miski signing, the more I like it.



You look at guys like Ikuvalu at the Roosters and it shows the strength in depth of the NRL. He was 26 last year, 5th wing choice at the Roosters and bagged 5 tries in his 1st match in a while.



After that, last season and the loan system showed how deep the quality runs in the NRL. Just because a guy doesn't have an NRL pedigree, it doesn't mean he's dross.

Same could be said for multiple players over the years, not saying your wrong but as always i would give the lad chance to prove his worth. Hopefully hes a good un. Hopefully the fans don't expect too much from him instantly which is what our fans tend to do. If he doesn’t score 3 trys in first half of his first game then hes crap?

Probably the same reason as Hamlin, or all these Fifian wingers that Hull find. No one has seen them play properly. SL clubs scouting networks perhaps don't spread as far as the lower leagues in Australia. It doesn't appear that ours spreads much further than looking at lads who've previously played for us.

Calling our ambition into question when we’re (rumoured) to be signing our own rejects is anything but bizarre. It’s a perfectly valid question. I don’t expect our ambition to be your Addo-Carr’s et al but it should be higher than Gelling or Thornley. I can’t actually believe some are happy for those type of players to be signed in all honesty. You wouldn’t see Saints wanting to sign back Lee Gaskell or Andre Savelio precisely because they aren’t good enough.



Perhaps I was unfair in including Minski. I’ve heard little about him (which I accept also means nothing) and added him to - GW aside - an uninspiring list. I still stand by my comment that if those are the type of players were looking at there’s no point in getting rid of Lam.



From what I can tell we need 3 positions; a metre eating aggressive prop, a centre and to a lesser extent a HB. But just because we [ineed [/ithose positions doesn’t mean we should settle for players who are just not good enough for this club. Saying that my comments surrounding that are bizarre is stupendously bizarre in itself.

Maybe because he needed to go play Championship and prove himself first, or maybe he has improved with regular game time. I'd accept that argument if he was older and had been in the Championship for years, but it looks to me more like he's just needed the opportunity to showcase his talents at a decent level. We also don't know whether he was offered a SL contract. Maybe it was a choice between being an SL reserve (when there is no reserves league) on low money or a starter at London on better money.

So when you sign the metre eating prop and the HB and you have little budget/cap left. What do you do about a centre?

There may be absolutely no truth in any of these rumours at all. None. Some however chose to use the rumours which could be totally false and have absolutely zero truth to use them as facts to argue about the ambition of the club etc.



It’s clearly great to discuss potential new signings and rumours but to use them as a vehicle to attack the club when there may be no substance to them at all is simply idiotic.

The meter making props salary could surely be covered by a combination of - Burgess being off the cap, Flower left and wasn't replaced (Maybe contract upgrades ate away at this?), Bullock is rumoured to be off and Clubbs contract isn't getting renewed.



HB salary will be covered by Hastings leaving



Centre salary covered by Gildart leaving

To be fair I had forgotten about Field who will probably let provide cover for the half positions so no real need to recruit there I wouldn’t think, assuming we are replacing Hastings, possibly with Williams.



Smith, Williams with Field as cover would be a fairly strong 3.
