Step back for me.

He had his time and plenty of success, but he also left for a reason. I can see the appeal though.

Personally I think it's time to shake the game up again and bring in a Madge or Holbrook type. Get 18/24 months out of them, but really really set some new foundations and see how our latest group of youngsters carry it on.

Underwhelmed.

I think the club need fresh ideas by an hungry coach who has something to prove. I don’t think Wane would have the same enthusiasm as he once did and the old saying of ‘never go back’ springs to mind.

I wonder if IL & KR are on good terms with Shaun Edwards? stranger things have happened.

All depends if we’d do a change of coach properly and by that I mean that a new man would be able to appoint his own staff and sign his own players (ala Powell at Wire) If we were prepared to do that then I’d be happy to look for a new face who would play a more attractive brand of rugby. That’s not going to happen though IMO. A new man will be given the current staff to work with and will be provided with a squad of players and if that is the case then it’s Wane all day long for me. He knows the staff and there’s no better man at dragging every ounce of energy out of his players in the big games.

I don't think that is something that could be said about Wane and Wigan.

Well change is coming for the squad whether we like it or not next year with Manfredi, Gildart, Hastings, Leuluai, Clubb and Clark all likely to leave, plus possibly French and Isa. No one has been signed as far as we know. Plenty scope for a new coach to bring in who he wants.
