That's just nuts. I'm not going to argue about the sending off as it's interpretation at the end of the day but 3 games for that? What next? 1 game for tying your shoelaces too tight?

Anyway....onwards and upwards. I hope we use the availability of his place to blood one of our young academy props as there's a few real contenders in there.

I just think the whole thing is very harsh. I get the reasoning, direct contact with shoulder to head.

I think context has to be taken into account though. Singleton was going in to make a tackle, field gets there first and the Sironen’s position then changes, he starts to go down. Singleton can’t pull out or adjust quickly enough and makes contact. Without Field’s involvement it’s a good tackle. That been seems to have been ignored.
