A jolly in France with this bunch of players was never going to end well regardless of whatever fluff they put on social media about training.

Absolutely terrible, error strewn performance. On the back foot from the off and never been in it. Will take some effort to turn this around.

Extremely disappointed, but I was expecting it. We've made silly errors in every game so far, we just haven't faced the better sides. Last week was a massive wake up call, looks like they haven't learned from it. I said earlier, I'm not too fussed win or lose, its more about the performance for me, I said I didn't want us to lose and look poor doing it.

Haven't handled the conditions well with mistakes or had the bounce of the ball but our weakness in the front row is always exposed in these types of games.

Well what a poor first half that was.



The game initially played in our half, poor errors and discipline and players not playing the conditions. I think it's damage limitation time as I don't think Catalans have needed to get out of 2nd gear so far. I think we've only had two sets in their half and fluffed both early in the tackle count.



I'm not going to say it's game over (learned that mistake last week) but it would need to be one hell of a shift in play for both teams for that to happen.



If Catalans score first and early on I fear for us.

I just can’t warm to Byrne. Sticking a few extra kg on doesn’t mask the fact he has zero impact against better teams. Same old story of the last few years when we play a good side. We fold like deckchairs.

Three soft tries all on the back of multiple errors.



Worryingly, Catalan have been average without any real attacking threat and we’re 22 points down!

From a coaching point of view my concern is we continue to give silly unforced penalties away.



The offsides are killing us.



Every time we have had an opportunity to build pressure we have given away a penalty or produced a very poor basic error.



Passing accuracy has been absolutely woeful. Basic basic errors. Poor.

It baffles me that a team from Lancashire can fall apart in wet weather, while a team from the South of France handle it effortlessly.

Barrie Mac just accused Wigan of thinking this game would be a formality. I'm not sure that's correct, jeez.

There's a long way to go though this season, which is good as we clearly have a lot to improve on.

How you guys can compare Lammy to Peetr Kay is beyond me , Lammy got you to a Grand Final , this guy won’t get you to the Grand National .

I certainly think there is an attitude issue at the club and has been for as long as I can remember. There is an arrogance at Wigan which has been part of the reason we have been so successful but there has also been a few poor performances because of it.



In truth I think it looks like the lads have had a nice jolly in France.



McNamarra has totally out coached Peat tonight. Even when we weren’t making mistakes they have read us like a book.

There isn't a Wigan player on this field at present who shouldn't hang his head. Every individual has turned in a 'personal worst' performance. At least, since this time last year.

I agree to a certain extent however I think Byrne Mago

and Smithies off the bench had a decent dig even if they came up with a few errors.



Unlike the rest of the team they showed effort.



On the other side of the spectrum Hardaker…was he even in the field?



Really does smack of a nice little jolly up in France for the team….again.

A bit more effort towards the end as well. But not enough all round.

I think tonight has just shown we are miles off, even if there is an overall improvement on the season. We’ve still got a set of pansies for forwards and the backs don’t have the creativity or consistency in skill level to be anything other than challenging for fourth spot at best. I really don’t want to be seeing Shorrocks as our replacement 9 when we have O’Neill in the squad and the KPP experiment at centre is fine for some weaker teams but not when we play anyone decent. We’ve got to find a way of getting his variety into the back row because Isa/Farrell/Bateman is just too much of the same.

Thought this myself we would have been better going for the day. For both matches.
