No longer advertised for sale weirdly, although they were definitely hanging up in the club shop on sale a couple of weeks ago (both home and away), maybe out of stock? I'm going in the shop this week to get a couple of Christmas presents, will have a look.

They have got some retro shirts on the site already but it is something they will hopefully extend over time.

That is strange. As you say maybe they’re out of stock and hopefully that is the case and they’ve been popular enough to convince them to expand that range at some point.
Producing a fabric in two colours isn’t more expensive than just simple old white? Cost was according to KR a major consideration in changing the badge. Perhaps one of the most intricate badges anywhere in world is the All Blacks badge. Do honestly expect the All Blacks to ever change their iconic Silver Birch badge due to cost or some daft marketing need?
If a clubs badge can be changed why can’t our colours?? Everything is up for grabs. Name, badge why not colours? I’d quite like blue shirts and white shorts for home games then primrose and blue for away games. That’ll keep the landlords happy and I’m sure Wire & Leeds won’t mind changing their strips when they play us their grounds. The year after we could play in pink home and away. That’ll significantly increase our LGBT+ credentials and major cost savings in production costs. Win win. Get in.
Not sure which bit you think I made up or maybe I’m being silly again?
Ah is it keeping the A&L on heritage gear where the club haven’t ditched our heritage?? Very thoughtful and I’m sure they haven’t included the enormous cost of producing the A&L in the retail prices for heritage items??
Maybe a few of us hold our heritage to be sacrosanct. Nah I’m just being silly again.
I think you’re starting to sound and look stupid on this topic.
The reasons given by the club are clear.
You cannot compare the All Blacks to Wigan. It’s a different sport, international team vs a club team and also completely different situations in terms of financial position, fan base etc.
The club are trying to generated better financials and increase fan base.
I’m no expert on logos but is that All Blacks one that difficult to produce? It’s a big leaf, in one colour with ‘All Blacks’ written underneath isn’t it?
It looks the total opposite to me. Simple, easy to produce and easy to splash over everything but I’m probably way off. It certainly looks easier to produce than our old badge, involving numerous different in details, in 6 or 7 different colours.

Better to look stupid than be stupid hey Nath?
Are you also calling me a liar Nath? Didn’t KR state one of the reasons for change was the cost of production? I know that to be factual.
You obviously didn’t consider the A&L to be iconic or worth preserving. Far do’s. I tend to disagree. Is that alright with you or am I too stupid to understand anything?
In the last 20 odd years we’ve changed grounds, changed our name and forgone our badge so why is incomprehensible to consider changing our colours? What’s left to change? If that concept or thought is beyond your capabilities then far do’s.
By the way I thought you’d have been fully supportive of the all pink colours for home and away.

I also don’t know if it’s difficult and costly to produce but it looks quite intricate and more importantly it’s iconic. If it is expensive to reproduce do honestly think the All Blacks would replace it? Obviously IL didn’t think the A&L was iconic. It’s his club so he can do whatever he wants to do but it still doesn’t make it right. I have no problem with change but thought the change of the club badge was ill conceived and the end product jaw droppingly awful.
The battle to save the A&E never started and is lost. I understand that but I get a little peeved when people can’t accept or understand that some fans never wanted it displaced and will forever yearn for it’s return.
My argument principally is that if you accept that change then why not also accept that other fundamental changes can and will come along I.e. change of colours. How iconic with young fans is the cherry and white? We never have the same colours in consecutive years let alone as irreplaceable so why not in the future dump the cherry and whites? I associate the A&E as strongly as the cherry and whites with club. The club talks a good talk about heritage but sometimes the duplicity is embarrassing.

On that link above the official site does state:
After high demand from fans for retro shirts, there are hopes this 1990-92 range is just the start of a larger retro range planned throughout the Club’s 150th year.

I am very firmly in the camp of not buying anything with the new badge on. I do not understand the need to change and more importantly the way it was handled was awful. In our house that results in 4 less shirts plus all the other stuff that we all buy. I know they told us that we had record sales last year but i just do not beleive it. Surely we sold more during those wembley trips? although keeping records was not a priority back then it seems.
I agree that its not the MOST important thing but it does matter. We have been here before when they tried introducing that awful design on the blue oval of the guy with the sheild. We were told that it was all done "get over it"
It was not and we reverted to the "proper badge"
The club explained very clearly why they did the change, I don’t get how you don’t understand? Also why was it handled poorly.
I wish we still had the old badge but once it was explained it made sense to me. Bought a training top and bobble hat last year
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

We used to be called Wigan Wasps and play in navy blue. Why aren't you wanting us to revert to that? Life moves on.

I’m in the ‘not bothered in the slightest camp’ but I’m sure the club would do one or two things differently given their time again. The main one being how it was leaked via the new badge appearing on companies house (iirc). I think they also could’ve got more fans involved with the process but that may have caused more problems than it would’ve solved.
