"I've got one word for you Mr Chairman - Penalty Count"
I've got one word for you all......Steve Hanley
Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!

"The club used you last night and didn't tell the truth."

Officially one of the 119 Mugs used by the club

what a load of rubbish. the only thing i have a problem with wigan is how deluded a lot of you lot are.

im straight down the line and i will stick to my guns on it. how you lot have acted from this time last year till know is laughable. massive U-turn alert

i couldnt give a rats ar$e if you read, listen or acknowlege my opinion. if anyone thinks madge would turn an nrl head coach job down to stay at wigan they are mad, deluded or mad and deluded

Again I ask, what are YOU basing this on?
Have YOU had a conversation or any kind of inside info on this OR is this YOUR OPINION?

As for U turn from last year etc, I suggest you don't Generalize about All Wigan Fans in one sweeping statement.
I think you'll find that a lot of Wigan fans knew we had a squad that should/could compete with the best in SL but our inconsistency through the season left us a little too much to do come play off time.
I think 3 x 3rd place play off finishes in previous 3 years proves that?

Madge/Waney have manged to get that 15/20% more consistancy from the squad and coupled with the problems both Leeds & Saints had last year we were in a better position to take advantage.

As for being Deluded, not sure what your basing this on?

It seems like a lot of fans want this levelling of competition, sharing out of talent, more British youth coming through etc but when it comes to Wigans turn to be successful by aquiring a squad with strength in depth and promoting Youth from within (Something that were reaping the benifits of over the past 3/4 years) and showing patience with them, Some people don't like it?

I wonder why?

It's got nothing to do with just disliking Wigan is it? Honest!

first off dont miss quote to help your argument :NAUGHTY: i said "a lot" not all. if i love wigan or hate wigan is neither here nor there, as it happens i loved watching the great pie harlm globe trotter style teams of the 80's growing up. i base my opinion on knowing how massive the nrl is and how super league as much as i love it is second best by a long way, especially in the eyes of the aussies. its like comparing the epl and spl. if you cant see that then you are helpless.

im looking forward to going toe to toe with ya this year :BEAT:

Im sure Maguire will return to Aus at some point but unless you have spoke to him personally, which im almost certain you havent, you have absolutely no idea when that will be. To say he will go as soon as an Nrl offer comes along is just speculation (or hope) from yourself. Was your ex coach not an Australian, who many claim to be a top coach, who has been working over here for a number of years now?

You said "a lot" in 1 sentance, but you also said "im straight down the line and i will stick to my guns on it. how you lot have acted from this time last year till know is laughable. massive U-turn alert " in another.

As for the Harlem globe trotter team of the 80's, That's a bad statement on many counts.
a/ We weren't a Harlem Gobe Trotter style team at any point in the 80's, in fact we were more like an organised Machine. If we did have an element of Basketball style about us it was certainly in the mid 90's just before our decline IMO.
b/ If anyone thinks that the Majority of Wigan fans want to see "Basketball style" Rugby League I would Disagree. Wigan fans (In general I believe IMO) want to see "Contructive, organised, disciplined,Rugby League" not Basketball anything.
This leads me to this "Slowing the PTB" rubbish that's been spouted for the last 3/6 months in some qtrs. I found the Speeding up of the PTB throughout the late 90's early/mid 00's more tedious by the season.
Scooting Dummy Halves and 1 dimensional straight up and down forwards taking advantage of Big 10mtrs and defences that weren't given time to apply sound defensive techniques was IMO doing our game, IMO, no good at all.
Attacking teams were incorrectly Playing the Ball by just throwing it back, not regaining their feet, stepping over defenders to play the ball 2 yards in front of where they were actually tackled and throwing themselves to the floor everytime a defender so much as had a finger on them and for about 5 seasons It was my opinion that I would have penalised the player in posession more often than the defenders!

My opinion is that for the last 2 seasons we've started to get a good equal contest between attack and defence and that's how it should be. Has the number of points per game decreased? Number of tries per game decreased?

As for your statement about "i base my opinion on knowing how massive the nrl is and how super league as much as i love it is second best by a long way, especially in the eyes of the aussies. its like comparing the epl and spl. if you cant see that then you are helpless."

I ask 1 more question, What the hell as that got to do with anything? Who said it wasn't, certainly not me! Not sure why you've brought that into the conversation about whether Maguire will or won't see out his contract based on what you openly admitted was "Your Opinion" after stating it as fact 24 hours earlier and anyone who didn't believe you was Deluded!
Thanks for clearing that up! :thumb: :USTUPID:
