30 tries in one season and he set a bag full up as well. Some of those tries took some scoring 2.

Imagine if we had a centre that could do that now!!

On a more serious note, I think it's the manner in which BJ left us.

The lad undoubtedly had talent - which he never fulfilled in truth, with all his club-to-club flitting about - but I think he was a bit of a legend in his own mind. That 'come and worship at my altar' pose he used to strike whenever he scored a try; that spoke volumes about his attitude - and this was in a team of many sublime talents.

I was playing for school in an end of season 7's tournament back in '99. Mather was there playing for a mates team. He was in the England RU squad at the time so that was a bit of a super ringer there! We asked if he'd play for us and he just said "no", not a word more and walked off. Tight get.

On the other hand, I thought he was class at Wigan, but you had to question the attitude at times.
