He's been playing like that in the other 2 games aswell.

He wasn't happy at all when he got taken off just before half time.

What on earth is the logic for taking off Feka 4 minutes before half time when he'd obviously have a break at the interval anyway?

There isn't any. Same as bringing Coley on with 2 mins to go.

Aiscough was quality last night. My only problem with him is his height so we need to add protection to his wing at kicks. We have had this problem before with Dallas, Robinson and Carney. One thing Aiscough does bring is bottle. He ran it hard all night coming into field looking for the ball. I say stick with him on one wing with Roberts on the other and Paddy to Full Back for the quins game. Feka looked awesome again going forward and i know many people comment on his lack of game time and tackle count but he was the one forward making good yards apart from Hock. Hock was playing well prior to injury and ran the ball hard. Pitty he got injured but credit to him for having the guts to come back on. I don't know where all the Fielden loving is comingfrom. The guy is one of if not our biggest earner and got knocked about by second rate players such as Feather. Piggy showed glimpses but not convinced and Roberts needs to show more effort. Pryce looked decent but will reserve judgement until we get him 100% fit (if we ever do).

His Height is not a problem IMO

look at Robinson and dallas.hes very explosive and powerful i was very impressed

Because Noble plays to 'his' clock, players are not interchanged to suit the game unless of injuries.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Positives were Ainscough, Pryce, Tomkins, Feka, Fielden. O'Carroll put himself aout too.

Mathers better not play next week in the place of Ainscough or there will be blood. Pat to fb, Roberts and Ainscough wings and Mathers can go on loan to St Judes! :D

I don't think his height is an issue. There was one kick I can recall that he and 2 cas players went up for (Ainscough sandwiched between them) and Ainscough was the one who came down with the ball.

I just think he will be a target for other teams in that department with wingers such as Gardner at stains. Not knocking the lad its just a potential problem we may face there.

ainscough and prycey on the wings where fantastic- ainscough awesome

in the pack, ocarroll feka and tomkins where the only ones making any go forward, glad hansen got a bit more game time, felt sorry for hock because he could of caused some damage last night.

riddell shown signs of improvement aswell, he looked to take the cas line on, he is definately carrying a massive beer belly which makes him two stone overweight and unfit, and thus unable to perform.

edited for accuracy ....if last night showed anything its that we've got a number of so called star performers who either arent up to grade or too lazy/ unfit or unable to play....and a number of great looking promising youngsters who are not getting their places due to these players.

I dont think leneghan will sack noble just yet (i would but thats just IMO), but think unless noble gives the young players their heads, and drop his favourates, then leneghan will get rid quite shortly.

Its up to noble IMO, if he plays the right team we will win and win well.

For me only Richards, Feka, Leuluai, Carmont and possibly Roberts (only because Ive not seen much of him) deserve to start...the rest I would drop and bring in some of the promising young lads to replace them, how about this for next week?(we all know noble wont have the balls for it tho);

1. Richards (c)
2. Roberts
3. Thornley
4. Carmont
5. Ainscough
6. S. Tompkins
7. Smith
8. O' Carroll
9. Leuleui
10. Prescott
11. Mossop
12. Hansen
13. J Tompkins
-------------------
14. Feka
15. Hock
16. Fielden
17. McIllurum

For a start that squad has 8 wigan / 10 acadamy lads in the side!! For a start at least we'll get a team with a bit of pride!!!

The performances of Ainscough and Tomkins are the only positives to come of yesterday for you men.
