So given we will be starting from Hindley Green having picked my Dad up what is the recommended route?
Back through Leigh/Lowton and on the M6 at Haydock??
Dave
Or you could go down Bickershaw lane to Plat Waz, at the lights with the tan shop on the right, turn right towards ashton.
once you get near ashton turn right at the petrol station (think it Tesco express) follow road to top. (watch out for speed camera in dip as you pass 3 sisters) at lights turn right, follow road to round about and you then on warrington road (M6 Junct 25 entrance & Exit) follow road straight down to asda etc

Turn right at Hindley Green Bethel (Leigh Road) towards Leigh.
About a mile on your right you will see Bickershaw Lane, turn down that road and stay on it until you hit Abram, turn right at the junction towards Platt Bridge, cary straight on towards Wigan Town Centre.

no, you're mad... to hindley, ince then towards scotsmans flash, turn right at church... saves the queue where carpet world used to be. I go from atherton and takes 20 minutes if i set out at 6pm
i work in oldham and always come home down the 62 and east lancs then on the m6, much easier seeing as i live quite close to j25 , and id say its the better way of gettin to the match from yorkshire, dont have to mess about goin either through hindley or past the reebok, and j25 brings you into wigan much closer to the stadium anyway.
