I think the rumour has come from the guy on the other forum who people say is in the know. Does he own a fishing lake that some of the players use?

I don’t know if we need the baggage as a club with Gelling but the player is fine. We need to find ways of making more ground from our own line and he’s the best in the league at that IMO.

People give him too much credit. His latest scoops were that we had signed Widdop for last year and a player had failed a drugs test the year before.

Seems like the recruitment team have been looking on these forums and taking note of the cries for big men......just not in the position we want. That said I’d be fairly happy with both but if Zak moves to full back (which isn’t certain depending on what happens with Field) then I’d be a little worried having these 2 as the starting centre pairing.

The beauty of these type of signings + Williams is that you'd expect them to settle easily.

Looking at potential back lines, there's only French and Field who'd you'd expect to be leaving, or be linked with moves away. That's a healthy situation imo and, with the versatility of some players, we can still dip into the market if needed.

We just need to help them out with a prop signing (or two).

I think he’s got about a 10% strike rate. Still he’s 10% in front of the other ‘man in the know’ on there, who puts a rumour a day on but has yet to nail one. His comments about Williams yesterday were brilliant. He’s 99% coming and has a gentleman’s agreement but if he doesn’t come, it’s because he’s gone back on that. Hedge your bets pal

I’m going to start them going forward. I’ve heard we’re in for Jason Taumalolo but if he doesn’t come it’s because he’s not coming.

He can’t say as his source won’t let him.

His rumours about Hastings and French always made me chuckle. They’re coming back, not coming back, they’re having more time, they’ll be back soon, they’re worried one isn’t coming back and so on. Every rumour is a tweaked version of what you hear in the press and he covers every angle and goes ‘told you so’, in fact maybe he is a journo

I can’t knock him, I love a rumour to be fair, even if they’re tall tales.

The other thing is we have to run a reserve team next year so players will be needed to fill "squad places"
