I would be happy with that, sounds abit like the set up at Leeds with sinfield, However wane actually knows what he’s doing.

Slightly OT, but I think the emergence of Nicho Hynes has made it even more difficult. The Broncos were one of the sides that are on the lookout for a FB, but they seem all in on Hynes. The number of clubs looking for a FB was already small and that's one more out of the window.

If Wane were to return I’d like to see him in a head of youth development and scouting type role.

I heard the rumour on Monday. If Wane come back then he'll be head of everything Wouldn't you love to be in that first staff meeting!!

I keep everything crossed that he does come back.

I watched the Lockers interview on Wigan Tv with Rads and they spoke about recent conversations with him about the England job. Rads says he asked him if he’d started to think about his speech to the players before the first game of the World Cup yet and he said Wane started to well up just thinking about it. They both agreed we’ll see a team in that World Cup motivated like none we’ve seen before.

He’s a player I’ve watched this season and thought that it looks like the penny has dropped. He is hitting the line at pace and at his size he’s a handful. He’s caused us loads of problems in our two games. We’ll get the usual suspects criticising signing former players again but as a reasonably priced, squad player, who will fight for a starting spot, I think that’s pretty decent business. I guess he takes Hankinson’s spot in the squad.

I’d be ok with Thornley. If ZH is fullback and Gildart is NRL then we’ll definitely need centres. Bibby is still not convincing me he should play centre though I accept he’s started this season very well on the wing.

Thornley seems To me a cost effective squad player but not perhaps the type of player some people where expecting with Danson on the Wigan board
