It may only have been against Swinton but his performance last week looked exceptional. The try he set up with a 30 metre pass from dummy half straight to the winger would make the highlight reel of any hooker in the game. Scored a good try scooting from dummy half and was involved in another try too. He looks like a really promising player. Still only 18 I think but he's got a great pass, deceptive strength and gets stuck in when defending.

I'd heard really positive things about him and that the club really rate him. Didn't he have a really bad knee injury which kept him out for 12 months?

Better playing first team in the Championship that twiddling his thumbs at Wigan, particulalrly for the position he plays in

Will be very interesting to see who we replace him with. I don't mind Bibby and Hardaker as cover centres but they are not good enough replacements for Gildart.

Bibby is a lot stronger on the wing IMO. Pretty much our first choice winger now.

Seems to be legit.

I was told quite a while ago Wests were the team that Gildartvwould go to so I’m assuming that it’s legit

I like Gildart and disappointed that he is leaving but wish the lad well.
I don’t think you can really blame the young guys giving the NRL a go.

Wests look like they're in a bit of disarray at the moment. I'd be surprised if they have the same coach next season. The risk is that the new coach comes in and just doesn't rate Gildart, leaving him to play reserve grade.

You can't blame him for wanting to give it a go though. He's backing his own ability and I hope it works out for him.

King is probably unlikely but is off contract so you never know. I can’t see we’d have a hope of Wardle. I think he’s on a long contract at Huddersfield and they don’t need the money (which we’d be unlikely to offer anyway). If French stays then I’d be happy with Hardaker and Bibby and maybe back up from Hankinson if we can then use the money for the two props we’re in dire need of.
