Several references made by commentators during the Warrington game. At one point one commentator sounded like he was going to go into detail but the others decided to talk about the rugby on the pitch.

That was definitely the case. I'm also sure that one of them said something along the lines of 'Austin no longer figures in Warrington's plans', which surprised me a little as that was not the official line.

I don't know whether they are a bit too eager to jump onto rumours recently. Like they made numerous references to Hastings maybe being gone mid-season in our earlier games.

Phil Clarke riffing on him being dropped isn't the same as jonh alluding austin is saying he wants to go home.

With hastings there's been multiple reports, and interviews saying 'at some point i'd like to go back'

Weirdly, i was musing this week that during his 2 years here, i can't recall having heard any rumours re him being linked to NRL clubs (like hastings and widdop), which probably says a lot about his rep over there.

He’s been a weird player over here Austin. Looked a class apart early days but seems to have got gradually worse over time. His antics rub people up the wrong way sometimes and I’ve never seen a bloke who loves to give out the sly stuff as much but absolutely cannot take any. Hastings will be a loss to the league IMO but I’m not sure people would say that about Austin.

There are strong suggestions he wants to return home. If they are not in the public domain fair enough but I’ve had conversations with people who are involved with SL clubs who seem to think his time is up this year.

That wouldn't surprise me given how amateurish they are on so many other levels.

Williams is said to be homesick according to reports down under. Raiders are trying to help him along but obviously with us needing a replacement half this story may have some legs?
Always rated him while he was here don't think the marquee helped him much but still didn't get all the knockers.
His stats with assists was as good as any. Good short kicking game great D for an half and strong running game. The last step for me would be him grabbing games by the scruff of the neck and being that dominant half. At 26 still time for him to do that.
For me would be a good to see him back.
