I don’t think you’re wrong. And I’d be quite happy with that. Zak back at FB has been a sensation IMO. He’s rightly keeping French on the wing.

We’ll need one more option if Hastings and Leuluai go. We can start with Field and Smith but you can’t leave yourself without back up. We’ll hopefully get to see Field this season and see if he’s up to being a starting half with a youngster alongside him, rather than a dominant character like Hastings. If the finances are there I’d back the calls to get some experience in and let a new guy, Field and Smith fight it out.

I don't think that there will be any issue with financing a signing. Tommy, Jackson and Clubb will free up significant funds.

I always say it but there’s a difference between salary cap space and having the money to use that space. Who knows where we stand after this last twelve months. I’d love to think we can spend up to the maximum and if we can, we need to replace Hastings/Leuluai with one player IMO.

I don't believe we will have that issue with Mr Danson on board which is probably why he came in.

The bit people never realise either is that players have contracts that grow year on year to fit the cap. So several players will get an increase next year which lessens the amount of player A and B's contract we can use

That's true but there would have to be significant increases to eat up the salaries of those three players, I think Wigan will make signings ahead of next season.

Yes we will, but i'll bet a pound to a penny we have the same "where's the tommy/clubby/hastings money" conversations we always have
