Little to no chance of Reynolds. Half backs seem to be in great demand over there.

Realistically, you're not going to draw a current first grade hall back over here at the moment.

Sezer at Huddersfield is the type of player who might be available. I have no idea of his current contract status and I'm not suggesting he's a player we should go for, just saying that's a more realistic type of target.

On Matty Johns last night Tallis suggested that Ash Taylor might need to rebuild his career in England. I don't rate him that highly (and clearly neither do they), but that's the sort of level

I suspect the plan might be to play Smith with Field in the halves with Hardaker at fullback.

That's really interesting, as I'm sure Tallis is part of the GCT set-up.

Side note but would highly recommend watching the Gold Coast v Souths highlights. Fantastic entertainment - in stark contrast to what SL has dished up in recent weeks.

One of the best tries Iv ever seen and some awesome performances from Fifita and Benji Marshall. Fifita seems unstoppable at times - surely destined to be one of the all time greats. Best of luck to England if they come up against him.

Some brilliant tries, thats 2 hat tricks Ive seen by Fifita this year, Souths 2 trys off the same outside then back inside move, Thompson run to set up a try hard to believe he was at Widnes. I would have liked to have seen the full game

David Fifita is unbelievable. How is he only 21? He makes blokes 10 years older than him look like children.

Poor game from him but especially Xavier Coates. It’s hard to fathom how Brisbane can be so poor when they have a couple of forwards like Haas and Pangai Jnr in their ranks. The outside backs are all good players (usually) and there’s a clear hole in the halves but that shouldn’t stop you being able to defend as a team.
