Just seen that George Williams has announced his mrs is pregnant - with them both being from Wigan, could they want to be closer to family? With Hastings inevitably going at the end of the season and Tommy retiring, I would be more than happy with Smith and Williams as Halfbacks next year. IF that was to happen

Think they would compliment each other style wise.

GW and partner have played a blinder being in Oz for 2020 and 2021 and not lockdown now here in the UK!

Hope it happens but isn’t he signed up for 3 years ?

If Williams has as good a second season as his first he'll be able to name his price in contract negotiations.
Wouldn't be surprised if he finished his career out there and fair play to him.

I think all you can guess on the Williams news is that it strengthens the chances of him coming back to the UK within the next few years. It could be elsewhere, it could be in 5 years or it could be within the next year or two but we’ll see how it plays out. I’ve said before I’d love to see Williams and Smith as our halfback pairing at some point as it has such a great balance but loads needs to happen for that to come off.
