Some Wigan supporters are like the weather where players in the squad are concened.
During the last few games of last season, they weer saying that we had two established Props in Bullock and Singleton, but now going into a new season, Bullock is now the target of not being good enough.
And do we need a Prop from down under who has only ever played one top game in the NRL and spent most of the time playing second grade rugby.
If we do indeed need a Prop, lets get one of top class estabished quality!
Bullock is absolutely good enough to be part of a prop rotation in the match day 17, no doubt. Don’t think anyone had said any different on here so not sure where you are getting that from.
There is no “if we do need a Prop” about it we 100% do.
Is this top class established Prop we should be recruiting as well as the top class winger you think we should also be snapping up?
Ok we may have some money to play with now but if you look at the market and also the time of year it would be an absolute miracle for any top quality established props to suddenly become available...this is before we even factor in a pandemic.
The reality is a prop/player may become available at some point during the season (usually under a cloud/carrying a bit of baggage) however it is unlikely there will be many available at this stage of the season.
Page won’t cost the Earth, meaning we may have room to negotiate with anyone that comes available mid season, but also strengthens our front row position in the short to middle term and brings something different to the table in his style of play that we don’t currently have in the squad.
Add all that to the fact Lam will know him very well and I can 100% understand why we are being linked to him.
