| If he does sign then let's see how he goes.
The thing that makes me wonder what's changed is the visa question.
If he's only played one NRL first team game how under the rules could he obtain a visa?
French was brought in early to get around the visa rules and he'd played 30-40 NRL games.
I know this is a rumour thread and fair enough, has the club made an enquiry about the lad? If so then surely they'd have clarified the visa position first.

| He was the best prop on the field when PNG beat GB a couple of years ago, but he was only playing against Hill, Graham, Walmsley and Thompson so it's hard to judge until he comes up against some decent opposition.

That’s what baffles me a little, some people are acting like he is a 30 year old being signed from a National Conference team.

I get your point but 1 game isn’t enough to convince us all of his qualities. I hope he comes over and absolutely smashes it to be honest, I’ll take no satisfaction whatsoever in being proved right with my doubts

Clark has not benefited from his experience or age, at the moment he is lagging behind a few young guns with limited experience. Now, I don't expect every player to be a world beater but I do require them to give their all when they pull on the C&W jersey. Clark has been handed a wonderful opportunity and to date he has not taken it, but I hope he does. As things stand, I can't for the life of me see how Page would not be an upgrade on Clark, or on Burgess (based on his 2020 form) and therefore I sit with those willing to give him a chance (if he signs) rather than looking for reasons to dismiss him.

| Having lived in Queensland for the last 7 years and watched quite a bit of QLD Cup I have always thought Page would go well in super league. Granted that was my belief before he hit 30. I still think he will go down well and would be relatively cheap bringing strength in depth to the team. I am all for the signing on a short term deal.

Good to hear from you.
I’m open minded if he does sign but is there any particular reason why he has hasn’t gone full time with a club in the NRL?

| Some Wigan supporters are like the weather where players in the squad are concened.
During the last few games of last season, they weer saying that we had two established Props in Bullock and Singleton, but now going into a new season, Bullock is now the target of not being good enough.
And do we need a Prop from down under who has only ever played one top game in the NRL and spent most of the time playing second grade rugby.
If we do indeed need a Prop, lets get one of top class estabished quality!
